For 17 years, Dennis Sullivan and Frances Conklin have been carving Chainsaw Canines.
Their work
has been on display at the AKC Museum, featured on QVC and most recently displayed
at the
Lewis & Clark bicentennial celebration held at Monticello.
Each Chainsaw Canine is individually carved with a chainsaw and then hand painted.
Made from
Ponderosa Pines that succumb to the natural processes of age, disease, lightning
or wind damage.
NO LIVE TREES are harvested to make these sculptures.
Each Chainsaw has its very own "license" tucked under the bandanna
or beneath the body when
the neck area is not a suitable location and sports a snappy red bandanna.
Chainsaw Canines come in two sizes and poses** (sitting or standing) and over
40 breeds. If you
do not see your breed, please ask.
Dimensions:
Tabletop approximately 9" x 10" x 2.5" - there is one exception,
the Dachshund Chainsaw
Canine which is approximately 19" in length. Delivery time may take up
to 3 weeks due to
the nature of the creative process.
Patio guards approximately 14" to 18" tall depending on breed
and pose. Due to availability
of wood and drying time the patio guards may take 6-8 weeks to deliver.
